On Monday, November 7, 2016, Stripes Stores held a grand opening celebration for the Houston community of its newest store and restaurant. The new Stripes Store features Laredo Taco Company and Sunoco Fuel. As part of the grand opening celebration, Stripes Stores donated $1,000 to North Shore High School. North Shore High School principal, Dr. Coleman along with his students received the check from Eduardo Pereda, Sunoco LP - marketing vice president, Eduardo Pereda. The North Shore High School cheerleaders entertained the crowd prior to the ribbon cutting. Dr. Coleman started that North Shore High School was one of the country’s largest high schools and funds will be used to support the school.
