Mary Grett Transition School in Corpus Christi, TX received the Stripes Fresh Learning Garden seeded by Laredo Taco Company® Grant.
The grant includes seeds to make pico de gallo: jalapeños, onions, cilantro, and onions, as well as $200 for supplies and other materials to build a garden. The Mary Grett Transition School teachers and staff received a fresh start lunch taco party from Laredo Taco Company.
Each student received a coloring book and a coupon for a Slush Monkey®. Mary Grett Transition School is one of five schools in Corpus Christi, Texas to receive the grant.
Over 20 Texas public elementary schools will be receiving the Stripes Fresh Learning Garden Grant, and over 85 schools will receive garden kids throughout the state of Texas.
