Stripes® Convenience Stores Team up with American Red Cross in Central Texas
Central Texas Market Manager for Stripes® Convenience Stores and Sac N Pac, Scott Walter and Area Managers from Sac N Pac presented a donation check from the Sunoco Foundation for $25,000 to the American Red Cross Central Texas Chapter to assist with the relief efforts in Wimberley, San Marcos and other parts of Central Texas. Sunoco®, the 129 year old fuel retailer that operates Stripes Stores and Sac N Pac, has a long tradition in supporting first responders throughout the country through a 50 year partnership with the American Red Cross.
Our teams, along with Nestlé Waters North America, delivered and donated almost 2,000 cases of Nestlé Pure Life bottled water to the American Red Cross Donation Center in San Marcos, Texas. Understanding the demand during this crisis, we provided diesel fuel to keep the American Red Cross mobile refrigeration unit and its generators powered up during mass feedings in San Marcos for displaced residents and others in need of food.
We will continue to provide assistance for those in need and ask anyone that is interested in helping or participating in relief efforts to donate to the American Red Cross or call 512-754-2275 (Wimberley Flood 2015).
