Representatives from Stripes® Convenience Stores presented a check for $5,000 to the South Texas Literacy Council program in the Rio Grande Valley. Their focus is to support literacy programs for at-risk, high risk and low income communities. Today, an event Alamo Community Resource Center was held to kick off a children’s reading program, and the children also received books for the summer.
