On Friday, November 4, 2016, Stripes Stores held a grand opening celebration for the Seguin community. The new Stripes Store features Laredo Taco Company and Sunoco Fuel. As part of the grand opening celebration, Stripes Stores donated $1,000 to Seguin High School. The funds will be applied towards a freshman behavioral incentive program. Seguin High School principal, Hector Esquivel, received the check from Stripes officials Jim Evans, Scott Walter, and Eduardo Pereda. The Seguin High School drumline, cheerleaders and dance team entertained the crowd prior to the ribbon cutting.
