(Corpus Christi, TX) Thursday, April 21, 2016 - Stripes® Convenience Stores announce the opening of its newest Stripes Convenience Store in Brownsville, Texas. Stripes Stores will host a grand opening fiesta and ribbon cutting ceremony with the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce beginning at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2400 E. University Blvd. The ribbon cutting will include a $1,000 donation check presentation to the Brownsville Spikers Volleyball League as part of the grand opening celebration. The new Stripes Store has added over 30 new jobs to the Brownsville community.
The entire community is invited to the grand opening celebration to sample delicious and fresh foods from Laredo Taco Company. The first 200 guests at the grand opening celebration will receive a FREE Stripes refillable mug with purchase. The new Stripes Store features Laredo Taco Company, Sunoco Fuel®, the official Fuel of NASCAR® and features 16 Sunoco branded fuel dispenser options which include unleaded, super unleaded and diesel. This location has a dining area which seats 20, “the beer super cooler” – a designated cooler for beer/adult beverages set to cool below 32 Degrees Fahrenheit, “the wall” – a creative space for customers to customize their cool with over 2.1 billion possible fountain combinations, as well as 7,000 square feet of fast, fun and friendly customer conveniences.
