This is Stripes second year to release Selena commemorative cups. We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from our customers and Selena fans. This year, customers may still purchase a cup at the Fiesta de la Flor festival in Corpus Christi April 13 and 14 at the Laredo Taco Company food trailer located at Stripes La Plaza, while supplies last, limit one cup per customer.

Like last year, with each cup sold, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Selena Foundation. The Selena Foundation has done outstanding work in our communities and their mission supports youth’s education as they have given out several thousands of dollars to students attending college, and to non-profit organizations supporting children and youth. We share those same values around children and youth’s education making this an even more meaningful collaboration.

We are honored to partner with the Quintanilla Family and the organizers of Fiesta de la Flor, that is the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau. Suzette Quintanilla was the creative genius around the design of the cups. She provided vision and leadership ensuring that every detail of this project would honor Selena’s legacy. “I am excited to work with Stripes again on these beautiful commemorative cups of my sister featuring Selena’s image. One of the designs this year is a watercolor painting created by New York artist Santi Siguenza, and it’s also our official logo for the 2018 Fiesta de La Flor event,” said Suzette Quintanilla, CEO of Q-Productions.
